What is amazing is that the guy bought this painting in London and it was not painted in Spain, but is now a Spanish national treasure.

“Mr Botin’s lawyers have argued the work should not be subjected to an export ban as it had been painted abroad and acquired in London, and was on board a British-flagged vessel.”

Spanish authority looter mentality taken right out of Atlas Shrugged.
Would have cheered if he was rich enough to destroy the painting rather than suffer the injustice of having it unjustly seized after years of petitioning to sell it aboard.
Eff socialist-fascist-communists!
