Ive had an iPhone 4s for 3+ years. Works fine. No music on it. Any apps I just downloaded from the App Store. What purpose does iTunes even serve? Does iTunes on Windows allow you to back up your phone (contacts, apps, other documents) like it does on a Mac? If so, I'd think you'd want to do that even with no music.

Meh. I have nothing on my phone I care about. I’m not a “mobile” person. I prefer big iron and local desktops to mobile and cloud tech. My phone serves as a phone and text. I do very little else with it.
