My old Motorola Droid was put in a permanent vegatative state when Verizon finally got the iPhone. The Droid is a great paper weight though.

Do these exploits only effect Android phones or Android tablets as well ? That question was asked in the comment section and it is both.

Consider the comments from Post5203 start with an insult toward me, continue with more insults, and finishes with more insults. He does not address any of the factual data presented in the articles and his anecdotal evidence is that he likes his Samsung phone that has now been superseded by two other models.
He really has nothing but insults for arguments. That's argumentum ad hominem, a huge logic fallacy. It is significant of someone without facts. If you have no facts, you attack your opponent's character.
You'll not that I have provided links to my evidence. He has just spewed his insults.
Use your own judgement. Note also that it has been discovered that the vast majorityaround 650,000,000Android devices cannot be wiped clean of personal information including passwords so they can be handed down, sold, or otherwise safely disposed of without revealing private information. They can only be destroyed.

What about the Galaxy S6? A little pricey at $682.

If you sign a contract with a carrier, the phones run about $200.
The difference between the note 4 and the s6 are the battery and expandable memory. note 4 allows for an microSD card and you can replace or put a different battery in.
The new models do not allow for these features...
