I still don’t know what the issue is, so she wrote black couple. It’s a descriptive term, not a slur or an insult, it was just to help her remember whose check belongs to which table.
She could have just as easily wrote “bald guy” or “blonde couple” or whatever. It’s absurd that people are offended.

Most restaurants have a numbering system to differentiate tables; why not write “Table 17” or whatever?
