Good point. So let’s put this into perspective. For the price of a $500 Apple Watch you can alternatively buy one or more of the following:
1. 2 color laser printers
2. A reasonably-equipped ipad
3. A Samsung Galaxy phone
4. 2 entry-level laptops
5. 2 Windows tablets
6. 4 home phones
7. A decent big-screen TV
8. A decent music system
9. 2 Microsoft smart watches
10. 2 smart fitness watches
11. A dishwasher
12. A decent microwave oven
13. A washer and dryer
The list goes on forever.
14. A respectable bolt-action scoped rifle.
WOW! What a straw man argument of no value what so ever. The Apple Watch Sport sells for $349 and $399. . . So you can buy an Apple Watch for $350. You distort the cost upwards by $150 to make your propaganda point. Are you a Democrat?
Let's look at them:
#1, no, you can't.
#2, Yes, you can buy a basic model, but not well equipped.
#3, No, only with a 2 year contract, or an older model.
#4, No, you can only buy one junky one.
#5. Same as #4, maybe.
#6, Yes.
#7, ROTFLMAO!
#8, perhaps an OK music system.
#9, one Microsoft smart watch and get change back.
#10, 2 not so smart fitness watches.
#11, a contractor's model dishwasher with few features.
#12, several Walmart microwave ovens, the $40 models.
#13, one or the other of a Washer Dryer pair, cheap end.
Sorry, your straw man doesn't work. . . and your glass is half empty is absurd. You know the price of nothing and the value of nothing including your straw man fakery. Try learning the facts first. . . not making up your prices of the product you are claiming to compare to your list. Did you even READ the article you posted?
