Walker cancels campaigning to attend funeral

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Gov. Scott Walker has canceled presidential campaign stops in North Carolina and New Hampshire so he can attend the funeral of a Wisconsin native who was one of four Marines killed in last week's shootings in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Its the right thing to do. I hope the media leave this funeral alone and let the family have their time. His being there might draw them.

It’ the decent thing to do. It’s a much more honest reaction than to suspend your Presidential campaign over a bullshit need to get back to DC to “help fix” some problem you already helped create as a Senator.

The scary thing is that the Madison crazies might just disrupt the funeral anyway. These are the folks who interfered with a Special Olympics Awards ceremony because Walker was presenting the awrds.
