What is going on, due to the federal government being dysfunctional at every level, a power vacuum has formed - Trump has stepped in and filled it and is literally driving domestic policy, seemingly re-energizing a political process that's been dead for a number of years. Americans finally have someone to speak for them, I just hope Trump does not fold.

Trump is not a democrat or a Republican, he’s American. I say this because I’m old enough to remember when the sides were not called left, right or liberal or conservative. That’s when what was then today’s left was called “UnAmerican”. There were even government programs dedicated to UnAmerican activities. McCarthy hit the nail on the head back then.
