Agree. I finished Navy active duty prior to Viet Nam. I’m pretty familiar with the times and have yet to find through any research ANYTHING McCain did that was heroic.
Some of his supporters are saying it was because he ‘refused’ early release by the NVA. .....From what I’ve found over the years, a superior officer who was also a POW there ordered the others to refuse any offer of early release.
Wasn’t he offered to go home early but stayed because other men were not going home?
If true, that was heroic.
The rest of his political career was still back stabbing shit though.
