It reminded me of the small town where my grandparents lived that always was what I thought of when I thought of America. We didn't get there that often but I could walk into the book store after having been gone for years and the owner would greet me by name.

Yes I have always wondered if artist tended to sing certain types of songs because of their lives or if their lives were shaped by the songs they sang.
