The global warming is real and it’s killing us, we’ve gotten upwards of .40” within a two day period with sustained winds of 14 mph.
It’s looking like Seattle, no joke.
I remember when in 1998 or so when El Nino was the big thing - it grabbed all the headlines, etc. All the explanations, the science, etc.
Now it is “Global Warming”.
The trouble is - this is just El Nino again. (Hot, dry Seattle, wet California). They say this year is going to be a very strong El Nino. (Well, the scientists are. The media goes berserk with “global warming” - Oh - I mean “change”.
Can’t complain too much. You’re in a drought.
Nothing to do with El Niño.
These people have attempted and succeeded in many cases brainwashing entire generations...Man is causing climate change. Never mind the fact climate and much of everything else has been changing on earth for like 4.5 billion years or since creation or formation. This is all about control.

The El Nino effect is already getting ramped up, sooner than normal. The effects are more pronounced in winter, but I imagine they affect summer weather as well.
Anyway - my main point is how El Nino was such a big deal back when, and I haven’t seen anything about it on the MS news. It’s all global warming.
One must wonder what looney tunes al gore thinks about all this.
True, it's just our regular monsoon precipitation coming in from the Southeast although a little stronger. However, many scientists ARE seeing a huge warming in Pacific waters along the equator that is always a cause for a El Nino Western wet winter. We can only hope.
Still, been surprised to see how much steady rain the above monsoon has dropped on us. Supposed to go on today, also. Good.
drought’s over
I live about 35 miles east of LA in the Inland Empire. I was having a cold one with a buddy in his pool at 3:00 pm yesterday. At the time it was over 90 degrees and the humidy was real high for So Cal due to the Sat rains. By 3:30 the temp had dropped 8 degrees and it started to rain......and rain hard. We stayed in the pool for another 30-40 minutes and it never let up. The pool had rised an inch or more and hit the overflow drain. Not much of a story in many parts of the country, but definitely unusual and welcomed in my neck of the woods.
The only route from L.A. to Arizona washed out by a derelict bridge. But illegal aliens get MediCal. It’s symbol of the condition of our entire state.
So how much rain did they get? The story mentions 0.36 inches in Los Angeles and plays that up as a record in LA for July. That may be the case for LA, but 0.36 is not a heavy rain. I presume more came down in the mountains?
