This is a dumb question but I always try to picture how other Freepers are at the moment they are posting.
So just out of curiosity, how and where are you commenting on FreeRepublic.com?
Are you you in a dark basement by yourself? In a shopping mall, waiting for your wife? Half watching some program on TV while you Freep?
Nothing special for me. I'm sitting outside in a perfect Minnesota summer evening with a beer in hand and my two dogs next to me.

Tons of water. It’s down only 138’. In ‘77 it was down about 250’ feet but still plenty of water to swim/ski.
Low water keeps the scaredy cats away. We’ve practically got the whole (humongous) lake to ourselves!
Hubby and I watched our purchased series of the Original Avengers with Macnee, RIP,
and Diana Rigg until she quit the show.
Now we watch our purchased series of the Macnee and Linda Thorson version.
As an aside, we also watch Star Trek Next Generation, and we were delighted to find
Linda Thorson playing the part of an alien, but she was nearly unrecognizable under
all that rubber and glue. She did very well, though. We purchased that entire series.
