What I see is a man defending himself. McCain was the one insulting Trump. All Trump did was respond. It becomes whatever the media wants it to become. The truth matters little to them.

FACT CHECK TRUMP VS. MCCAIN
Probably time for a review and some much needed FACT CHECKING!
If you still don’t believe the lapdog MSM is out to gut Trump, here’s another example of their typical yellow “journalism”.

The only envelope Trump is pushing is what his support will accept, and he isn’t even close.

I hope he doesn't decide he'd rather have props from the scum in the MSM and political class, instead of slings & arrows, and start saying what he thinks they want to hear.

'Cause thats what this is all about... can't have anyone straying off the progressive plantation. They must be 'corrected'.

I think, compared to Cruz, Trump has a sloppier and less political use of language. This is not a bad thing. For example, some retard complained that Trump said “Mexico is killing us! China is killing us!” because they interpreted it literally as mass murder. I’ve seen other statements by Trump that could be easily abused, and he seems to have a style that is more free flowing and blunt. Compare to Cruz, who carefully words everything and is very observant with language— this comes from his debate experience. At the same time, this comes off as somewhat mechanical to me.

That said, I think Trump does know that he is throwing bombs and creating controversy. The beauty of it is that he probably realizes “there is no such thing as bad publicity.” By keeping the debate about him, he drowns out the other candidates, and displays them as whining, politically correct tools when they finally start snapping at him right next to the leftists.

I personally think Trump knows most of the dirty little secrets of the Washington crowd. His fairly innocuous statement about John McCain sent a lot of younger than I people to researching.

I think that is what has everyone in Washington running scared and trying to get rid of him. Who knows what his next comment might be, what the hidden meaning might reveal.

I’m loving it all.

Trump and the rest of them are a bunch of cowards until they call out for Obama for what he is and what he’s done to our country.

Which ever one did that would be the next president.

If he had the best security available.

If I were Kerry or McCain I would be very careful how I opened my mouth....

Kerry....120 days in Vietnam...all those medals, and a Silver Star he described...it doesn’t exist...and he lied about more than that (a lot of it came out when he was running for Pres)... his running mate John, was found to have an affair, while his wife had cancer, and then after she died, he married his ‘lover’ and she had a child...

McCain...rich kid whose father was an admiral, graduated last in his class, got caught as a POW, came home, got mixed up in the Keating Five mess...hasn’t supported the veterans on anything, only supporting what is good for him... (a lot about him came out when he was running for Pres)...after he lost, he hasn’t said a decent word about his running mate Sarah Palin...

I don’t want to defend McCain as a politician at all but Trump is building is insulting him needlessly.

Trump started out with an overstatement on immigration that I partially agree with BUT “Mexico is sending . . “ implies that this is all a Mexican controlled plot.

Trump constantly employs narcissistic verbiage (”I am great”) and criticizes those who disagree with similar overstatements.

I can’t stand his hyperbole.

What’s more, Trump was, until recently, pro-abortion and changed, not out of principle, but on the basis of emotion.

His statements poke us conservatives and we say, “Yeah, preach it!” but there is little in him besides provocative bluster and ego.

He constantly talks about what he can/will do. He is ignoring Congress and in that he actually reminds me of Obama (Sorry).

Have you ever heard carefully thought out positions from him?

What's happening is that virtually everyone who is in the public eye, especially conservatives, have been effectively shutdown by the left from expressing themselves FREELY. Their free speech has been questioned, shutdown and marginalized and as a result they have to practically rehearse everything they say or risk being accused of all kinds of dastardly things. They then have to apologize for something they never did. Makes them look like weak quislings.

And then here comes Trump exercising his free speech rights and essentially not caring how they're going to be taken. When falsely accused he calls it what it is..bs.

He didn't get where he is by not knowing how the media and politics work. He knows how people think. And he's using that knowledge to stand out.

The only mistake Donald could make is to apologize about anything.

And I don't believe he has an apologetic bone in his body.

Anything other than a leftist agenda is "pushing the envelope". The MSM and the left (including the GOPe) will skewer anyone who seems to be a threat to their agenda, and currently that's Trump.

I hope he hangs in there, because the alternative is not pretty.

"I think perhaps Trump knows what he is doing.

He is throwing bombs...but they are bombs of truth.
"

Feminists like to use that kind of rhetoric. According to them, they "battle" and "war" with this and that.

Trump isn't throwing bombs. Trump is a very pampered, lifelong civilian, and in all of his effeminate, lifelong civilian vanity, he stepped in it.

"John McCain is a fake"

As bad as he is in Congress, as far as he leans to the left on some issues, he's not a fake. Neither are the rest of us.

Trump, by the way, would surely be a big government spender and typical New Yorker against constitutional rights, if he could get into office. He would govern more from the left than McCain. But that's not going to happen.
