Use Firefox...IE still has too many holes

I like IE 11 - it’s a good portal despite the naysayers comments ...
Our company is just now moving to IE 11.
So I'd say that it is a safe bet to move to IE 11 so long as you get the latest/greatest version.
No.
NO! I downloaded 11 some time ago it bogged down my PC so bad it was unusable.
I now use Google Chrome and it works fine for me.
Your PC is screaming “Don’t 11 me bro!”

Comodo makes a Mozilla-compatible (Ice Dragon) and a Chromium-compatible (Dragon) browser. Both are highly regarded for their privacy enhancements.
Something to keep in mind these days.
For what it’s worth, I’ve been using IE 11 since it came out, and find it faster and less glitchy than IE 10 was. The only problem for me is that Ad Muncher no longer works, and that’s a program I used for a long time and found very helpful.
No guarantees, but it is much more stable now. I had so many issues with IE 11 that I had to unload it, run a restore point, and then waited a year before I tried again. So it seems OK, but I still use chrome for IE unfriendly sites.
If you can wait until the end of the month, you can get the free upgrade to Windows 10 with the new Microsoft Edge browser.
As long as you’re logged in.
IE 11 is the most stable and secure version out there. I use it on both Windows 7 and 8.1 without any problems. I think it is much faster than IE 8 and 9. It is much more secure than all previous versions. However, it does not work exactly the same on Windows 7 and Windows 8.
As for all of the naysayers, I use Chrome as well, and don’t find it to work any better on Windows 7 than IE 11. Keep in mind I do not run it with any funky plugins or toolbars. Also the new MS Browser (Edge) will be out in July with windows 10, I’m not sure if it will be backward compatible with Windows 7 or 8.
I do keep two anti-virus programs in use current at all times, and run a scan of the critical parts of my system regularly : Norton Security Suite, provided by my IP, Comcast/Xfinity, and Spyhunter.
Spyhunter has the added advantage that should a virus penetrate the system, they will send me a removal tool for my specific problem.
No need for professional help during the last two years. I have two Win 7Pro PCs and One Win 7 Home Premium PC.
Hint for IE
go to the upper right corner and click on the thing that looks like a cog gear.
click on ‘Safety’
Make use of the tools that are generally off by default.
IE runs fine on my Windows 7 Toshiba I bought in Oct 2009.
I should have specified IE 11 runs fine on my Windows 7.
I will upgrade to Win 10 when dayglored says it’s safe. Get on his ping list, it’s very helpful.
your not going to have a choice. That said edge beats the crap out of the rest of the pack and is the default browser for W10, with IE11 as the compatibility mode back up. Since you’ll be basically forced to upgrade to w10 by October, make sure your backed up fully by july 29. W10 is much more self healing then 7 or 8. If your backed up, go get w10 and update you’ll lose your antivirus, though I think Norton is now w10 compliant. Its ok because MS defender is a default AV and its got both a black and white list.
I moved to PaleMoon (FF clone) after FF persecuted the founder for donating to a traditional marriage protection amendment in CA.
