“Famed chef David Chang (Momofuku)”

Perhaps that was the problem. Can anyone trust a person by the name of Momofuku?

In socialist countries people line up for food that isn’t there...

Fox 2 Now writes that many of the competitors are claiming that the competition "was rigged" because not everyone had a chance to sample the food. Apparently a number of attendees — who shelled out $20 for a ticket — didn't get many of the burgers at the event because the competition ran out earlier than expected.

Unless the attendees were voting for the best burger I don’t see that not everyone who bought a ticket didn’t get to sample each burger is relevant to fair competition.

Budweiser — which is losing fans to craft beer brands

As they damn well should. That it's lasted this long still amazes me.

That's because the craft beer quality difference far exceeds the minimal price difference.

Budweiser has always been over-priced and not very good as far as beer goes.

The “beechwood aged”, is not beechwood barrels, but beechwood chips shoveled into the massive stainless steel aging vats. It will get you drunk if that’s the mission, but Budweiser has never been the “King of Beers” in my book. When the Miller Brewery (Fulton, NY) opened just after Schiltz (Baldwinsville, NY) opened a few miles apart, you could buy a six-pack of either for $2.79. The Schlitz brewery is now AB-Inbev and has been since the mid 1980’s.

Eventually I grew to like Labatt’s Blue, and then came to prefer Saranac Pale Ale over all others. But then again, I don’t drink much beer these days, and have gone over to Wild Turkey and Johnny Walker Black.

No I am not really.

Bud Light? Paint stripper and urinal washer maybe, but not a beverage. Yick! I wouldn't drink it if it was free. I'd go sober first--that's no joke.

It's nasty swill. Nein!

I'll drink Bud but not their Light. Sorry, Spuds...RIP.

I don’t really care about the burger contest.

I’m retired, and a life-long beer drinker, so have recently been noticing the % of ABV in various beers. Seems the higher the ABV a beer has that I drink fewer beers/day. I just like to have a mellow buzz through the late afternoon and evening. Of course, the less ABV means I drink more per day. The higher ABV costs more, but I suppose it all balances out in the end. ....Here’s a link to comparisons:

Famed chef David Chang (Momofuku) was in town to judge the competition (though that shouldn't be a surprise since last year he publicly proclaimed his love of Bud Light in the pages of GQ).

Egad. Talk about a sell out.

No chef worth his apron and hat would ever say such a thing unless he'd been paid by Buttwidener.
