Karl Marx HATED religion.
He called it “the opiate of the masses”.
If you’re going to worship something, it needs to Karl Marx and his socialist state.
I’m sure Marx would get a real kick out of the pope being his biggest cheerleader in 2015.

The cross was a Roman construct. Eventually the Romans embraced Christianity and Rome became its capital. And now eventually the Soviet Union embraces Christianity and perhaps will be its new capital. That is the message, whether they realize it or not.
