A Nepal hospital said Friday that CNN medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta incorrectly reported that he operated on an 8-year-old girl after the countrys devastating earthquake in April.
A top official at the Bir Hospital in Kathmandu, Dr. Ganesh Bahadur Gurung, said Friday that the girl, Salina Dahal, never had brain surgery and has recovered from minor head injuries.
Gupta, a practicing brain surgeon, reported days after the April 25 earthquake that he operated on Dahal. CNN said Thursday that it is working to verify the identity of Guptas patient, following a published report that he never treated the 8-year-old girl. [

There was no operation performed on the child whose name was mentioned in the (CNN) news report. Actually the operation done that day was a 14-year-old whose name he has not mentioned. He has given a false statement there, Gurung said, adding Gupta was at the hospital as a journalist and not a medical professional.

Looks like he would be best to stick to brain surgery and not being a “journalist”.

give the guy a break, I mean, just the other day I misspoke and people misundersood me when I said that I; "was one of the few soldiers from my platoon that survived Normandy beach and that I clearly recall holding my dying friend and screaming 'why G0D! WHY!' before saving an entire village of nuns and orphans".
what I mean to say is that I was on my couch watching youtube clips of WWII.

This just in....
CNN reporting that Dr. Sanjay Gupta suffered a serious brain fart while in Nepal that has affected his recollection of events that took place there.
Brain farts have also afflicted other well known people such as Brian Williams and Hilary Clinton.
Lesser known people who are afflicted with the syndrome are more commonly known as liars.

I took my girlfriend to Normandy Beach on D-Day just to see the excitement.
It was better than the movie.
