WHOA: Trump changing venues for Saturday rally in Arizona due to OVERWHELMING RESPONSE

Posted by The Right Scoop on Jul 9, 2015 at 8:32 PM

Amazing. Donald Trump is having to switch venues in Phoenix, Arizona for his rally this Saturday because he is getting overwhelming responses for people wanting to attend. His campaign says they are now expecting thousands to attend and are switching to the Phoenix Convention Center to accommodate the masses

“Out of context posting as usual!”

I have read that Trump has said he supports an assault weapons ban. Do you know if he has said that or not?

and youbetcha, I will be there.”

Love Scottsdale and Sedona. My kids were born there. Wish we could afford to move back. You are so lucky to have Sheriff Joe. Am sure McCain and Flake will be there to hear Trump. LOL. Hoe you get to go and share info with us.

I don’t know how that is going to work. Cruz is never going to have the broad bipartisan appeal of Trump and will probably want to distance himself when the backlash starts.

According to your link, Trump in his book “The America We Deserve: wrote: “The Republicans walk the NRA line and refuse to even limited restrictions. I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I also support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun.”

Now, Trump is saying the AR-15 is not an assault weapon. I agree with that.

Question: What assault weapons did Trump want to ban when he supported the ban in his book?

Ok, here’s a reality check for all of us. People running for office can make statements about different issues. And, we need to hear their stances. However, when one runs for President, without the benefit of security details only privy to those in the government, some ideas and stances may have to change due to intel. JMO.

I would support an assault weapon ban, depending on what an assault weapon really is. Definitions vary. To me, a gun with 2 dozen bullet magazine is NOT an assault weapon. Trump is not for banning such defensive weapons. But cannons, howitzers and RPG’s are real assault weapons, and should be banned for civilians. There is no logical purpose for any civilian to own such weapons. Even if I had such weapons, I won’t last 1 minute against the US Army.

Reason Trump can quickly answer all questions thrown at him is because he does not have to stop and think what his sugar daddy rich donors want him to say. Trump does not have and does not need sugar daddy’s.

Any one who posts Trump wants Oprah as his running mate, is obviously lying because he/she never saw the interview during which that conversation took place. It is totally out of context to say Trump “wants” Oprah as VP. If you favor another candidate, I have no problem. But lying about opponent candidate does not dignify you.

“But cannons, howitzers and RPG’s are real assault weapons, and should be banned for civilians.”

A couple of things. First, Trump said he was for an assault weapons ban in his 2000 book. He could have only been referring to Clinton's 1994 “assault weapon ban” law. That law, still on the books in 2000, did ban the sale of new AR 15s with evil features like bayonet lugs. It was a stupid law and Trump was stupid to support it.

Second, fully automatic weapons and stuff like cannons, mortors, etc. have been heavily regulated since the passage of the 1934 National Firearms Act. They are legal today, but very expensive and rare. People that have them do not use them to commit crimes. Please cite any examples of an NFA legally registered weapon used in a crime.

But you think it is wrong for someone to have a $25,000 legal Colt M-16 in their gun collection. Ok. I don't. And neither does federal law. Go ahead and say it - you have Obama on your side.

Please Explain to me what is the purpose of owning that particular gun made by colt.

a) collector of powerful weapons
b) defensive weapon against intruders in your home
c) fighting the US army

From the New York Post, June 17:

“You get a tax break! And you get a tax break!

“Real estate mogul-turned-celebrity TV star Donald Trump already had an “Aha!” moment about his 2016 running mate.

“After declaring his run for the White House Tuesday, Trump appeared on ABC and said Oprah Winfrey would complete his presidential dream ticket.

“I think Oprah would be great. I’d love to have Oprah,” Trump said. “I think we’d win easily, actually.”

“Trump had suggested Oprah as a potential sidekick once before — while considering a bid for the presidency in 1999.

“Now that he’s officially running, he told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that she’s a perfect fit.

“She’s great, she’s talented, she’s a friend of mine,” he said.

“She’s a good person. I’ve been on her show. In fact, I was on her show last week, she said, could I be on her show with the whole family?”

“The Republican hopeful emphasized that everybody loves Oprah.

“I like Oprah. I mean, is that supposed to be a bad thing? I don’t think so,” Trump said.

“Trump announced his presidential candidacy earlier Tuesday during a rousing speech at Trump Tower.”

I did not see video of Trump saying these things so I did not realize he was joking around. Sorry I did not understand the context. I hope I have not broken Trump's will to live.

I believe Dylann Roof bought his gun legally. Would you be Ok if another person similar to Roof was able to buy a Colt M-16 legally?
