Currently the ones I have read claim that 70% of the Apple Watch sales are the Apple Watch Sport which sells for $349 - $399, a smattering of the Apple Watch Edition (the gold watch) and the rest, about 29%, the Stainless Steel Apple Watch, selling for $599 to $1099, with most of those being at the higher end with the metal bracelets. Ergo, your marketers are simply wrong.
