The James Gang of the 70's had some very presaging songs about what the socio-politics of their day would progress into in our time.

Thanks

Fantastic audio quality and stereo separation on that track. Just downloaded it to put on my mp3 player.

I listened to the James Gang back when. Funny, how a few albums I listened to, when I hear them now, sound sort of simplistic and garage band like.

The some of the James Gang sounds simplistic, but I heard one the other day, a band called Trapeze. Boy talk about Garage Band Deluxe, and a song I still hear occasionally “Hot Smoke and Sassafras”.

Medusa was a great album and Glenn Hughes voice gave Trapeze their signature sound. Check u tube for some contemporary concert video of Trapeze, still rocking!

One of the few albums I was able to buy at the time. Can’t remember which one. Those brain cells are long gone.

Don't scorn the YouTube ads. They allow us to view the content for free. Otherwise, we would have to pay to stream. That's the business model of the Internet as pertains to music.

YouTube is pretty amazing. They have collected massive amounts of video from the past. Old commercials, old TV shows and countless amateur video of our past. What an archive.

On May 29-30 1983, I went to the US Festival in Devore, CA as a young Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton. Pretty much every concert I saw those days is now on YouTube and pans of the crowd show exactly where I was sitting and as the technology improves, I'm pretty sure I can zoom in on that footage and actually view myself as a 20-year-old again.

That's just one example. It's like going back into a time machine.

Joe’s new stuff is pretty good I think. I heard some of it an interview and he just takes it back to rock. Can’t recall his latest, but sounded good to me!

Yes, that’s right. I always make that mistake since they repeat “seems to me” in the chorus.

I've been looking, for years, for the chord progression to the song "Again." Maybe somebody on this thread will have some clues on that one.

The song is basically a love song, no profound message in it. My ear isn't to the point where it can convert what it hears, onto the fretboard. Well, some things, but not this one.
