Spot on with all that Yardstick. The Romney haters got exactly who they voted for. Very sad but true.
Thanks. Of course I’m just stating the obvious here — just to make sure it gets spoken.
I think what Trump is saying, is if someone is in our country now, and actually has a job they support themselves with, what is the point is deporting them?
They’ve already demonstrated their heart is in the right place. I say let those people stay, and work toward citizenship.
Just those who are working. If someone is in America on welfare, toss them the heck out. Every one of them.
But I think we should encourage everyone who actually wants to work, to work. That is a good thing, and makes our country stronger.
What is important however is we build the fence. Every single inch, of the border. Actually of the borders, but Canada isn’t nearly the issue Mexico is about illegal immigration at the moment.
Build the darn fence. Now.
But let’s not chase off the people who are here working. That is not good public relations, and besides they’re going about things the right way.
Just my opinion, but I say we pay attention to whether a person is here working, or here mooching.
Get rid of every one of the moochers.
But let’s keep the opportunity open for those contributing to our society.
Seal the border though. That is critical.
Now.
It’s like Obama said. “Elections matter - and I won.”
Because the Rs stayed home or protest voted.
Trump wants to offer these “hard workers” a path to citizenship. Are you for that, too?
How about we take away EVERY magnet to them...ALL entitlements, jobs, etc. That will deport the millions who are “living in the shadows” (Ha! Shadows my foot!) Politicians are always saying...we can’t just round up 12 - 20M people and deport them. Well, this would do the trick.
Then, and only then, come up with a GUEST worker program ala pre-1965. This would allow American jobs to go to Americans, first.
And, finally, reform our welfare program (drug testing, time limits, etc). Why is THAT not a 2016 issue?? Once those that are being incented to keep their fat rears on their couches are forced to work, we’ll see just how many foreign laborers are truly needed, here.
The “hard working” Mexicans who wish to live here can then get in line and follow our traditional path to becoming citizens.
I’m with you, but I say the portion who are here working are actually contributing to America, and we should integrate that portion, and make them Americans at some point.
Close the borders though. Close the borders.
Close the borders.
And deport every illegal in America who is of working age, but on any form of welfare.
Every one of them.
We’ll keep maybe 50% of the illegal population, but it will be the portion who has contributed to our society, and they should be given the chance to continue to grow, and to help us rebuild our country.
The other 50% though, out.
Next we can discuss bringing jobs back from China.
My interpretation of what Trump has said is that he would give hard working productive illegals a path to legal status which is not citizenship. He will build a fence and he will actively deport the the bad seeds. A lot of these illegals will go home on their own if they can’t get the welfare anymore and can’t get a job. It will get rid of maybe half. The reality is that that’s about as good as its going to get.
My thing with Trump is that he seems really serious about a secure border so we don’t get 11 more illegals. That’s key.
