It appears that her parents took good care of their child and she had a pleasant childhood with two parents.
Also note, that like most here on FR, her blood is red.
I was born a poor black child.
My husband and his twin sister were adopted together. She grew up always wanting to know her biological origins, he did not care. After years of searching, she finally found them and a few months after meeting them for the first time, she packed up and moved halfway across the country to live with them. They keep trying to get us to go visit and meet the whole family, but my husband has not really shown an interest in it.

I am sure she never said ‘nigger’ one time or held any kind of animosity towards “The Man”.
Your husband seems to be content living in the present. His sister remains focused on the past, on what seems to be missing from her life. I’m glad it worked out for her. Some couples make better parents of a young adult, and lousy parents of a helpless infant. That’s just who they are.
What I’m thinking. If they took some of the others back, but not her, there may have been another reason. Because, as you say, she looks like she could have had a black father. Perhaps that’s the reason she got placed with this wonderful black family in the first place. But after it’s all said and done, and at age 70, why bring it up? They did everything right for her, let it rest at that!!!

My wife had a dna search done one her and found she had a black ancestor who lived in England sometime in the last 500 years. My wife looks like a typical white person. It would be interesting to see the results of a dna test on many people.

My moms family from Van Horn, TX didnt know if great x2 granpa was legal or probly even cared. My middle daughter scoured thru Ancestry.com and found his entry log into the U.S. in El Paso and green card and the whole tamale. So 5 years ago I gotta get over being called “wetback” my whole life! Didnt claim it on my military papers at all. I am Caucasian or White to the U.S. Gov’t. My dads great grand mother was a full blood Chaktaw, the rest is Okie and then anyones guess. So you wont be reading any stories about me because,
