Just wait awhile, it will soon be like that in the USA. Dissenters in Brezhnev's Russia weren't shot, as was the case when Stalin was in charge. Instead, dissenters lost their positions. They became outcasts. And many were sent to mental institutions.
The same has already started to happen with professionals here. If a professor questions global warming, he will be denied tenure. If a businessman questions affirmative action, he will be called a racist and will be forced to resign. And the list goes on.
Reporter: What is your opinion on economics?
Citizen: I agree with the policy of the Party.
Reporter: What is your opinion on health care?
Citizen: I agree with the policy of the Party.
Reporter: Don't you have any opinions of your own?
Citizen: Yes, but I don't agree with them.

It is very disturbing out there. The rabid liberal seems to be an hysteric with a persecution complex. I am not joking.
Add to the list the medical doctor who apparently accurately described health issues associated with homosexual practices.
I wonder if there is not an economic analogue here; this hysterical lack of reasoning infecting social and political institutions must somehow reflect in economics — in stock prices or other values.
It will come tumbling down due to irrationality.
