Rand Paul waited until Tuesday to take a stand on the debate over the Confederate flag, but he minced few words.
In an interview on WRKO radio in Boston, the Kentucky senator said he agrees with South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haleys call Monday for the flag to be taken down.
I think the flag is inescapably a symbol of human bondage and slavery, and particularly when people use it obviously for murder and to justify hate so vicious that you would kill somebody, I think that that symbolism needs to end, and I think South Carolina is doing the right thing, Paul said.

What Coward
It’s rare to see such a political pile-on.
Reminds me of “1984” for some reason.
GET OFF THIS NONSENSICAL HORSE$HIT
YOU ARE LETTING THE LIBTARD MEDIA LEAD YOU AROUND BY THE NOSE
Hopefully he will be former senator from Kentucky next election.
Symbols are as powerful as people allow them to be.
This is all a giant distraction from the complete disaster the government and economy is.
For some reason when he said the flag was a symbol of bondage and slavery I thought he was talking about productive, taxpaying citizens and the American Flag.
“particularly when people use it obviously for murder and to justify hate so vicious that you would kill somebody”
Has every politician in the country lost his damn mind?
I did not read the killer’s rant, or whatever it was that they found on facebook or whatever, but I would guess that the Confederate flag was never mentioned. The way these fools talk you would think maybe that flag should be taken to a laboratory to see what other powers it possesses.
You’ll never be POTUS Rand. You are the weakest link. Goodbye!
Yes, the two-minute daily hate sessions.
Since Trump got in, have all the Rand Paul freepers switched over to him, where did they go?
I don’t have the wisdom to say what should happen, but I can say that all this pandering by Republicans and the squealing on the left is based on redefining the significance of the Confederate flag, including outrageous comparisons to the Swastika. No matter how bad slavery in America ever was, it was never a campaign of mass murder, torture, medical experiments and genocide, not even close.
This is part of the ongoing war being waged by the left to destroy the meaning of words, to vilify American culture, to debase every good tradition and to re-write history. This is all in the name of obliterating everything that made the country great and to tear it down in the name of building there socialist utopia. G-d save us all.
*their socialist utopia. Sorry.
Rand can go suck a bag of d!cks.
“including outrageous comparisons to the Swastika”
That has already seeped onto this site.
Another idiot.
Good grief.....Republicans are so embarrassing.
These Republicans are absolute, zombiefied morons.
3rd party NOW!
The new GOP grand strategy. Tell ‘em what they want to hear. Give ‘em the red meat they crave. Populism Wins Votes! (because bread and circuses always worked out so well).
