...just because an ingredient has a long word you cant pronounce, that doesnt mean its going to kill you. And just because Albas company has been successful selling pricey products sans chemicals, it doesnt mean she needs to freak out moms to make a buck.

Whats wrong with it if they want to eliminate the chemicals?
Its the free market in action, people wanted it and she delivered. Sounds like you are anti-free market

To chemical or not to chemical? I choose the latter.

Last week she was on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., meeting with Senators such as Charles Schumer (D-NY) and Barbara Boxer (D-CA) to discuss the two competing reform bills to the 1976 Toxic Substances Control Act, and suggesting that neither option goes far enough in regulating dangerous chemicals. Detestable conduct by an ugly person. Making a pile of money selling a niche product is a fine way to work in a free market economy. Using the naked force of government to stifle your competition at gunpoint is an act of petty (or not so petty) tyranny.

I picked up a container in a health food shop once that proudly boasted on its label “Contains No Chemicals”. I presume it held a vacuum.

There is a huge difference between Jessica Alba and the Food Babe. One provides products that are in demand (just like Purell does with it’s anti-bacterial hand gels) and the other says stupid things like “if you can’t pronounce it you shouldn’t eat it.”
And what really gets me is that Jessica Alba made her name with “Dark Angel”. Seriously, know your target’s background before you write a hit piece.

Good for her.
It's perfectly legal to sell pricey junk - as long as the government does not mandate it, it's fine with me.

I choose to use products like the ones that Alba promotes. That said, I don’t need a law or any government interference to enforce it.

Dang. There goes all hope that she would do a steamy topless scene to squeeze out a few more years of Hollywood stardom.

You know what? If a product can be made safer, why not. I remember back in the day, the country was having air pollution problems...we no longer have that in most of the country (LA exception). I think it is ok to try to improve on things especially a private company. The government is the problem not private companies that aren’t forcing you to buy things.

More power to her for having a booming business touting chemical free products. Never mind that everything on planet Earth is composed of chemicals. However, her screeching every malady is caused by big bad chemicals is ridiculous.
What the heck is with the commercial’s song? “Because you know I’m all about that bass, ‘Bout that bass no treble, Because you know I’m all about that bass.” It has NOTHING to do with baby diapers.

Agreed! Everything in nature has chemicals, after all! That dangerous dihydrogen monoxide coming out of your faucet can kill you in large quantities! Dangerous O2 in the air around you can make fires burn hotter!
The worst of it are people struggling to bring back diseases like polio because they’re so tinfoil about vaccines!
