"The state of slavery in this country, so far as it can be ascertained from the laws of the several independent sovereignties which belong to our confederacy, is the subject of the following sheets. This comprises a particular examination of the laws of the states of Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Missouri." - From the preface

The south invaded, er you do know why they trued to get to DC right? You do know how many times the north invaded the south?
“You did.”
Don’t try to dodge it. Please link to the post where I threatened you. Do it or shut the f*ck up.
Man up, bub. You trot out ad hominem attacks then slither away to your hole. You can’t issue slanders like that and then seek to escape responsibility for doing so. Men own up to their actions. Worms seek to deny them.
read your profile and I’d say get back down here quick.
“I suggest you come here and try and do that’’. The hell with you.
I’m 64 and will retire either next year or the year after. However, my wife is a semi-invalid, and she’s declining, so moving back home may not be possible for her. So, as long as she’s breathing, we’ll be staying in Illinois. If, God forbid, she passes while I’m still above ground, then and only then will I return home to Dixie.
Ha! That’s not a threat. That’s a challenge. If you can’t tell the difference then you have more problems than you’ve exhibited on this thread.
You need meds.
well we hope one day you and the wife do good and get down here.
Marylanders wanted to join the Confederacy but it’s government at the time didn’t.
Slavery was outlawed in NJ in 1804. new Jersey was the last Northern state to do so.
If you are going to argue with me, don't approach me with your half-assed homework. I don't have time to waste on people who do not know what they are talking about.
I’m not arguing just stating a fact.
No you aren't. What you stated was not in fact, true. (except the part about New Jersey being the last.)
Thank you.
I guess he did not know that Delaware was a Northern state.
So before 1865, the Union Army couldn't be bothered to tell New Jersey to knock it off?
Reminds me of that biblical admonition about the beam in your own eye.
Or Maryland, and the other three slave states in the Union at that time.
So before 1861 the South couldn’t get it’s own act together and ‘’knock it off’’ without a war? I’m the one with the splinter in my eye, you’ve got the plank in yours.
