Of course, because if you see someone with their arm wrapped in a towel, raised over their head, most people think "It's an ambush" and not "The man is likely bleeding and has raised his arm up above his heart to slow blood loss."

The man should have had a dog to take the bullet for him.

cops are being trained as if they are combat soldiers being prepared for a warzone. this training is the problem. nobody is ever held accountable when this training costs an innocent citizen or their pet its life and we’ve now had 2 decades of this training, turning the police into little more than an occupying army.
if you call the police, you do so at your own risk. the days of Andy Griffith and Barney Fife are long gone. today’s police are hammers and to them, everyone else looks like a nail.

It was unclear if the man had a gun,Right.
Is it still "Unclear"?
Did they just drive away and leave him there without checking?

I couldn’t see his hand, ipso facto he must have been holding a gun in it.
Recall the recent post where the drugstore employee had a woman come in with her hand in a bag claiming she had a gun? And the resulting debate as to whether he should have shot her before he actually saw a gun? Yeah, pretty much everyone acknowledged that he would have been crucified by the courts.
This clearly demonstrates a very dangerous double standard. And it also shows who are the rulers and who are the ruled.

Hmmm...
“He was allegedly raising his arm wrapped in a towel, possibly holding a gun.”
Is it just me or if I want to shoot someone, the last thing I would do is wrap a towel around my gun hand?

If it turns out he cut his hand and he flagged down a cop to get help this is going to be another VERY BAD example of cops jumping the gun
I can’t imagine why anyone would want to be a cop
Shortly there are going to be rules: In any encounter with the police, citizen, drop to your knees and raise your hands...or else

What kind of a movement is not subject to your death? Nothing. Trigger happy fools and to think we pay them to take chances. What in hell for. Now it is all for protecting the cop at the expense of the poor citizen.
To: Altariel
Forgot to mention, we are now in a police State. They can no longer be relied on protecting us, they seem to be more of a danger than the criminal.

It was unclear if the man had a gun O rilly? Let me take a wild-@ss guess here... I'd guess... HE DID NOT HAVE A GUN!

No races reported, so I’m guessing the man shot by the officer was not black. (Won’t venture to say white, Hispanic or Asian, just not black.)
