While I have a handful or more favorites, I am curious who my fellow freepers elevate to the top of their list?
My list starts with;
Annie Lennox
Kate Bush
Tracey Thorn (Everything but the Girl)
And oddly enough
Cindi Lauper
There's soo many more.
Dolly Parton is right up there.
Shirley Bassey and Patti LaBelle.
Beverly Bivens, Beverly Bremers, and Robin Lamont were also attractive in a different sort of way.
That's what I love about Free Republic. You can have threads like this with so many different contributions. And there are so many other threads here, too; Sports, History, Gardening....
Whatever you want.
Wonder Girls K-Pop
Alison Kraus (don’t know the right spelling)
Im stunned that no one has mentioned Coco Malaika of Quadron:
I’m stunned that nobody mentioned this.

That’s very good. Thanks for sharing.
Julie Andrews
Good call on Kate Bush. I always liked “Wuthering Heights”.
I also like Natalie Merchant and Amy Winehouse..
Thanks. I added that to my 1940's playlist on Youtube.
Shirley Jones (Music Man) Bells on the Hills

Kate Smith’s God Bless America should be played every day. It still sends waves of patriotism through listeners.
They sound a lot like the Marvelettes.
Not a bad voice, actually.
Kasia Kowalska - She’s the one who made me want to learn Polish.
