My female Golden, Terra, was always pushing 85 lbs, but my male Golden, Max, never got above 82 (and not an oz. of fat on his big, lanky frame). I’ve known lots of Goldens that pushed 100 lbs, but the vets don’t recommend that.

Goldens are generally such pleasant companions that people happily allow them to live in the house where they might not get enough exercise. I plead guilty to that.

That is about how much my Golden girl weighed. She had long legs too. She was one of darker reddish goldens that are usually bigger than the blondes.
