Its on! Iron Maiden revealed earlier this year that they were holding off on releasing a new album while Bruce Dickinson dealt with a cancerous tumor. But Dickinson has received treatment and got the all clear from doctors, and now fans can get ready for Maidens new album, The Book of Souls, coming on Sept. 4.

They probably sell custom fencing foils on the side.
Freegards, up the irons
Sweet. Up the Irons!
Man, I wanna hear Bruce’s original voice. I have tix to van halen at the Hollywood Bowl and my buds told me Roth lost his pitch, the same way Hetfield from Metallica lost his. Hard not to notice it after so many years of screaming at the micro.
I was always a VanHalen-not-VanHagar person but just...wow. :(

I’m sure you’ve seen those annoying “Most Interesting Man In The World Commercials.” They’re terrible - it should be Bruce.
He received a degree in English, conversational in French, published author, screenwriter, commercial pilot, business owner and entrepreneur, TV host for the BBC, former internet radio host, had a successful solo career, speaker, world-class fencer and what he’s most famous for, frontman for Iron Maiden. I remember him saying in an interview that he had a spot on the British Olympic fencing team, but turned it down because the band was doing well.
Steve Harris also had a spot on West Ham if he wanted, his favorite football team, but he turned it down for the same reason Bruce turned that opportunity down.
Seems like most of the old guard of singers have lost most of their power as well as ability to reach high notes. Bruce however, while you can tell he’s lost power, is still able to hit the notes. He’ll sometimes sing a song differently so he doesn’t screw up his vocal chords, but he’ll hit the high notes when he needs to. I posted a link to when they played Rock Am Ring last year, Aces High which was the start of the encore, and you can tell the first 2/3 of the show took its toll on his voice.
But he still has a tremendous voice.
This is a perfect case-in-point: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8b_w7_n2hw
excellent, he can still belt it out. Oh man, I hope Daltrey doesn’t go weak this year with the WHO.
Awesome
