Next time one of those conservation groups calls to solicit money, ask them if they support windmills. Everytime I've asked, they've said yes.

I’m guessing that cars kill more than windmills and oil spills combined. Cats kill more than cars. The world would be a terrible place if birds weren’t killed.

Wind turbines do not “chop” up birds. It is worse.
Wind turbine impacts cause internal damage. The birds suffer in pain with internal bleeding, broken wings/legs/bones over a long period of time.
Predators put these suffering birds out of their misery as they have learned turbines are an easy source of helpless food.
Similarly, solar does not “fry” birds to death. Instead, solar cooks them just enough internally to cause organ failure. Again, the bird suffers in pain until, hopefully, a predator eats it. Otherwise, it is a long and agonizing death as organ after organ shut down.
