When he finished the speech, he got a very, very, very long standing ovation. It went on so long, that after he sat down, he stood up again to acknowledge it and kind of put his hands in the shape to tell the crowd thanks but that's enough---It was a really long standing ovation. He is a great speaker and he does have charisma.

Ted is more intelligent than most Presidents we’ve had and better speaking skills. If he can connect with average Americans he’ll win big.
Plus he is building good will with local GOP orgs and fellow congress critters, even some fellow candidates. ;-)
I judge him by the the Cs in this particular order -
1) Character
2) Competence
3) Communication/Communicator.
I think he has all three.

I like Ted’s style but it looks like he is a globalists sell out like ALL the rest. This is very disappointing. I think I’ll sit the next one out and figure it’s all going to collapse no matter who wins. Maybe enough sheep on both sides will be thinned from the heard so that the non-koolaid drinkers can recover and rebuild.

I’m really hoping I get to attend an event where he’s speaking.
Notice unlike Hillary, he doesn’t dodge any question. He doesn’t waffle. He always sounds sincere. When I hear him speak, I see someone I could trust in office to make key decisions.
But given the behavior of many out here, if our party is too stupid to vote for the closest thing to a true full spectrum conservative since Reagan, then we deserve to lose.
I mean, if social media sites like FR had existed in 1976, what do think would have happened when news broke that Reagan had selected Richard Schweiker as his potential running mate? Could you imagine every posted article in 1979 berating Reagan as a liberal and sellout to the establishment? That’s what’s going on with the Cruz bashing now.
Cruz is a conservative, and I have a suspicion most of the controversy about TPA and TPP has more to do with misinformation, confusion and typical hysteria.
I opposed Mittens even till the bitter end because he was worthless, a white Obama. Cruz is no Mittens.
If you want to play the absolute purity game, there's not a single candidate we can support.

I don’t agree with Cruz on TPA but I still support him. It’s not realistic to think you’ll get a candidate to be with you 100% of the time. I prefer someone that tells the truth and doesn’t waver, so I know when he says he for something, he’s really for it.
I’m not saying I couldn’t be persuaded to back someone else, but of the current crop, I see no one else that measures up. Show me a viable alternative and I’m willing to listen.
