There has been a lot of discussion and confusion about TPA, especially since it has been voted on in Congress. What I have found from research is that what changes there have been to TPA since the 2002 version have been positive changes that strengthen human rights and protect our national sovereignty and laws.
I have attached some comparison charts that I hope will prove useful to those who would like to look more carefully at what this law does and does not do.
“The TPA Bill is not, nor has it ever been secret. The TPP Bill is the one that has not yet been disclosed. It has also not been voted on. It is not complete.”
You are correct. Once TPP is complete, it will be in the public domain for 60 days before the vote.
You are smart to have actually informed yourself about these bills and the process. There are Freepers who won’t inform themselves or they are intellectually challenged - not smart enough to read and understand this.
Thanks for your post.
Maybe they are just sharing the same shallow brain.
I appreciate your good work here. You give outstanding insight. Thanks.

Yep. I am stupid and a Bircher for opposing a process that will allow China to join defacto trade treaties with the US without Congressional approval. Shame on me.
The good news is that Bonehead and the GOP leadership will have
another vote in the house next week.
Many RINOs and fake conservatives will have the chance to vote yes
again on Obamatrade.
So, they will vote yes twice, not once on Obamatrade.
Polls show the American people do not support Obamatrade.
And as a result, will lose trust in those who vote for it.
And that will lead to primary challengers to those who vote for it.
Time will tell how successful those primary challengers are.

They’ve been negotiating TPP for 6 years. It’s 99.9% done. Suggesting it is “not complete” is disingenuous at best.
So do you!
When was the last time the GOP stood up to the democrats and Obama?
Right, so Clinton had it too.
This is why I am so confused as to the sudden outrage.

Nope. Each TPA is negotiated and is different. Given the kenyan’s track record and the beltway GOP’s subservience to him, I think it is fair to assume this one is a bad deal for Main Street.
Isara, You are right about Diogenesis regarding what he said about Cruz on this thread and what he said on thread Ted Cruz HQ: A Note to Conservatives on Trade Agreements and on thread House Rejects Trade Bill, Rebuffing Obamas Dramatic Appeal”.
His calling Cruz, Toast Cruz on all these threads and now saying "IS TOAST CRUZ AN AMERICAN?..." puts him in the target circle for a zot. I suspect before long, he will get a zot and no longer spread his vitriol against Cruz.
“And those that think like you want to give more power to a President who hates this country.”
Let’s not ever do any deals then since they might be abused by a future president?
“If it is such a good deal, lets see the secret bill in the secret room.”
The ‘secret bill’ is still being negotiated and will be shown when completed and will be available for debate for sixty days prior to a vote.
Then, let’s wait until the secret bill is complete, make it available for the
public to view, THEN have the vote. What is the hurry?

The “secret bill” has been negotiated for 6 years. There is no way the controversial TPA & TAA would have been brought up if this defacto treaty wasn’t 99.9% done.
“Then, lets wait until the secret bill is complete, make it available for the public to view, THEN have the vote. What is the hurry?”
Which is exactly what will happen. The vote of last week was not on the ‘secret’ bill.
Then let’s wait on voting for the recent bill until the secret bill is made public.

Simply incorrect.
“TPP stands for Trans-Pacific Partnership. TPP is a specific trade agreement currently being negotiated by the United States and 11 other countries, including Canada, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. China is not a negotiating partner. There is no final language on TPP because negotiations are still ongoing and have been since late 2009. Neither the Senate nor the House has voted yet on the TPP. There will be no vote on TPP until the negotiations are over and the final agreement is sent to Congress.” (Ted Cruz see thread below)

I really appreciate your input. If only some of the other Freepers would be as intellectually honest, we wouldn’t have all of this bashing of a good candidate that is going on here.
They will still only be voting on TPA. TPP will not be complete probably for quite some time. I read a timeline on it the other day that said it may not come around election time in 2016!
Have you read this TPA? Have you compared it to previous TpA bills? This one actually has clauses that will further protect the sovereignty and laws of the U.S. Furthermore, it will now have the immigration language that Cruz and Jeff Sessions worked together on that was adopted by the House. There is nothing sinister about this TPA bill.
The TPP is a long way from being completed. When it is, it must be available to the public for at least 60 days before a vote. I’ve read a timetable that says it cannot possibly come up for vote until the latter part of 2016, due to the restrictions and time requirements that have to be satisfied under TPA.
Have fun buying meat at the super market. Could be from Mexico.
