Roots’ on the History Channel: Remaking a Lie (Roots ghost-written and plagiarized)
Frontpagemag ^ | 05/29/2015 | Jack Kerwick

In 1976, Alex Haley authored the nearly 1,000 page, Roots: The Saga of An American Family. The following year, ABC aired a mini-series that was based upon it. Both book and television show proved to be tremendous successes. Now, the History Channel has officially announced that it will remake Root There’s only one problem: Roots is a fake and Haley is a fraud—and a fraud on multiple levels.

Apparently the History Channel feels the need to perpetuate the idea of eternal black victim-hood, just to make sure people don't get too comfortable seeing how many successful, wealthy and prosperous black people there are in the world and in the US in particular.

I have been trying to sound the alarm regarding what a THREAT Liberal control of media is and has become.

This is another example of where the information broadcast to voters is intended to deliberately manipulate the debate towards favoring Liberal ideas and policies.

The complete truth, or even the other side of the story, is contrary to their preferences, so they filter it out constantly.

In this nation, Liberals have total control over free speech in the only way that matters. By controlling the Transmitters, they can filter out conservative opposition to their claims, ideas and policies.

We have all got to start realizing that Liberal control of all forms of broadcast media *IS* the cause of most of these other problems. They alter the debate at the fundamental level, and we have to acquire a voice to rebut it.

No voice, no rebuttal, and Liberalism takes and holds more ground.

It is interesting to note that the British enticed slaves to escape their masters and fight for the British, promising them freedom in return. (Dunmore’s Proclamation)

Then, they completely reneged on that promise after they used them, badly, as cannon fodder and such, and used loopholes to get them enslaved again, sending them to plantations in the Caribbean, etc.

This is not to diminish the actions of England in helping to stamp out slavery, who led the way in the West.

I often point out the similarities between the Revolutionary War, and the Civil War. Most of the "Union uber alles" types do not like these comparisons because it puts their side in a bad light.

But in this case, at least the Union kept their agreements with the slaves.

While slavery is obviously wrong it was never in the best interests of a master to treat a slave badly. Sure there were incidents of mistreatment but it was by no means standard practice.

I have come round to the opinion that a very large percentage of the population is perfectly okay with slavery, just so long as you don't call it slavery and hide the ugly parts of it from them.

This business of taxes, for example. Most Democrats and Most Fed Gov employees (but I repeat myself) believe they are perfectly entitled to take the fruits of labor of another man against his will, and spend it on whatever they think is best, especially when it is themselves.

No, slavery is alive and well, it just goes by a different name, and is kinder and gentler, but the idea of forcing others to work so that you may reap the benefit of their efforts, well, that Idea is very popular in Modern America.

I am a history buff, but I concentrate more on some aspects/times of history than others, and this was a piece I had been oddly aware of until a Freeper brought it up in a thread.

You can learn a lot here. Some of our fellow freepers are worth listening to, while some others are not.

“Sure there were incidents of mistreatment but it was by no means standard practice”

Very true. It may sound harsh, but would a farmer today take a sledge hammer to a brand new tractor if it malfunctioned? A slave was much more expensive, comparatively speaking.

After the showing of ROOTS II, blacks in Hot Springs Arkansas went on a mini-riot breaking windows and such.

But, as Allie points out in his brilliant cartoon, they like to have a bone they can try and throw to discount that premise.

***the vast majority of african slaves were sold into slavery by other africans as the result of tribal conflicts***

In the book THE DEFEAT OF JOHN HAWKINS by Rayner Unwin, tells of his slave catching trip to Africa where he made deals with local Chieftans to fill his ships with the enemies of that particular tribe. After capturing a village, a massacre took place in which most were slaughtered by the ATTACKING LOCAL natives. There were still enough left to fill the ships, those they could not take as slaves....WERE EATEN BY THE LOCAL TRIBES.

The tribe that was attacked was not from the area, as something deep within Africa had caused these natives to flee toward the coast, invading the local Chieftan’s tribal lands.

**A slave was much more expensive, comparatively speaking.**

That is why many slaveholders had WHITE Indentured Servants who they had to release after a few years. The owners would work them to death before releasing them.

Also, when New Orleans Canal was dug, slaves were used till they began to die from mosquito borne diseases. They, representing REAL WEALTH, were withdrawn, and Irish paid workers were brought in to finish the canal.
Loss of a black slave meant loss of investment. no one cared if an Irishman died as no one owned him and he took his chances.

There were times and places white directly captured slaves.

But it was certainly way out of the normal course of trade.

Very few slaves sold across the Atlantic were sold to Europeans by Muslims. The Muslims were well inland, barred from the coast by rich, powerful pagan slave-trading kingdoms.

Probably a good many of the slaves these kingdoms sold to whites were originally enslaved by Muslims and sold to the pagan kings by them. But there was little direct contact between Europeans and Muslims in the slave trade.

Instead of a bull**** remake, they should have done a zombie or Kwanzaa version. The Roots Zombies!

Did you know that Kunte Kinte had a sister who was a prostitute?

Yes. Her name was Renta Kunte.

"I gave up on the History Channel years ago. It was my favorite and the main one I watched."

I pick and choose what I watch on the channel. I like Swamp People, The Vikings, and American Pickers. At least Frank and Mike haven't kissed yet.

Yes. Taxation is slavery by any other name. And muslims were and still are the primary slavers on Earth.

But, as Allie points out in his brilliant cartoon, they like to have a bone they can try and throw to discount that premise.

That's funny, but doesn't illustrate the picture accurately. More like the Fox News girl is also in bed with the Democrats, and occasionally gives the elephant a hand job.

Literally everyone who works in this industry is an Urban-Dwelling Liberal Democrat Union member mostly working out of New York. Did I mention they were all UNION MEMBERS?

I don't know if you are aware of the significance of this or not.

We have a defacto condition where Liberals prohibit Conservative speech on the only forum that matters. Back when people spoke from the Courthouse steps or before large Assemblies, the playing field was relatively level, and of course both sides were much more conservative back then.

But now that Liberals can control what gets on television and what does not, They have effectively slapped a muzzle on opinions with which they do not agree.

They have effectively denied freedom of speech for half the nation, and this constitutes a major threat to our freedoms, and in my opinion the seriousness of it is such as to eclipse all other issues.

This issue is the sole issue upon which our side needs to be concentrating. This is where we need to be directing all our influence and firepower.

This is not just some minor point in the world of American politics, this is where the battleground for survival is fought. If we cannot break through the Liberal Media blockade on political speech with which they disagree...

WE. ARE. DONE.
