You and me both. I have Win7 on a one year old PC, so it'll be a while.
On the other hand - I've been running Win10 on a dedicated, seven year old PC and I have to admit, it's pretty slick. Fast too.
I still don't care for apps and I use Classic Shell for the UI. All in all, it works.

Yup and they eventually want to make out PCs like cell phones where you “subscribe” to them...
They don;t want customers anymore, they instead want “Milk cows”

I said the same thing about XP 3 years ago. We are both still alive and well. (Knock on wood)

Im going to ride Windows 7 till one of us croaks. Yep.
Expect Win7 to start getting sick around 2020 when the Security Updates stop and the hackers have a field day.

Im going to ride Windows 7 till one of us croaks. That's what I said about XP.
(Heck, that's what I said about MS-DOS 6.)

My work computer is windows 7 and doesn’t boot the first try almost half the time. Windows Explorer craps out regularly too. It may be all the company network software some of the time. My mac is a lot better but still nothing to write home about. End of the year I may change to a 10 Skylake.

I’m very happy with Windows 7, but I took the deal for a free upgrade to Windows 10. A lot of my decision was based on getting Windows 10 for free and Microsoft plans to quickly drop support of Windows 7. I guess I will see what happens when I get the update.

You know, I think Windows 7 is pretty good. The only real problems I have are usually involving peripherals or darn browsers with memory leaks (like, all of them).
