Liberal Claim That Jurassic World Is Sexist Is Hilarious
The federalist ^

I’m not sure if I’ll see Jurassic World but if I do, it will likely be for the reasons summed up by New York Post film critic Kyle Smith:

You are, of course, correct. The improper use of “gender” is a major loss to the language.

Amen. One of my pet peeves, too.

Chris Pratt is a cutie. Not up to Sam Neill in his prime, but a cutie.

I don't know about male sexual attractiveness, but Sam Neill can act rings around Chris Pratt.

We watched JP I and III, before seeing Jurassic World last night. Without giving much away, I would say the pacing and intensity of the initial "children contact" with the mean dinosaur (you know it's going to happen) was far superior in the Spielberg-directed JP I. World was entertaining, though, and the climax will blow you away. Trevorrow directs his dinosaurs better than his people.

Mmm..Leggs

The best misspelled marketing word ever.

Is it just me, or do women just not wear pantyhose or stockings anymore? Seems the bare look is almost universal, even with skirts and heels.

“When asked what I would use I said something fired from a turret.”

I was thinking along the lines of basic Texas deer hunting equipment:

Stingers
Recoilless rifles
RPGs
Etc.

Liberals are stupid.

The female protagonist in JW is scared at times, as you would expect anyone to be. She gets help from the male protagonist at times. She also steps up to the action very bravely at several critical times.

I guess Liberals think it’s sexist because she manages all that in business attire (skirt and heels) throughout the movie.

‘Seinfeld cites an experience he had at home with his wife and 14-year-old daughter as an example of far political correctness has gone.

Seinfeld’s wife says to his daughter, “In the next couple of years I think maybe you’re going to want to hang around the city more on the weekends so you can see boys.”

Meanwhile, Seinfeld’s daughter replies, “that’s sexist.”’

Even Libs are being hoisted on their own petards. I figure Seinfeld must be a Lib, but his comments are spot on. Kids are being indoctrinated today, not taught. And they certainly are not being taught critical thinking. I feel sorry for them. And I blame the Left for destroying any fun these kids might have enjoyed, because now they are nothing but PC robots. Parroting back Leftist garbage as if it is truth.

I’ll have to go with Sam Neill in this case...back in 1993, he had it going on.

So did Jeff Goldblum, in a sexy-geek way.

I enjoy it. But on the other hand, there are some women that really need to wear a burka.

They do not, and I have never, ever liked it.

I know I'm in the minority, but I was raised to believe it's extremely tacky to stick bare feet into dress shoes...just not done. I still feel that way.

Most women say pantyhose are too uncomfortable to wear. They don't bother me. And on the occasions I need to wear them, they're the kind that are so sheer you can barely tell they're on.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Chris Pratt act in a movie. Sam Neill, on the other hand ...

I expect my teenagers will see JW; we have the old ones on DVD.

(I wear nylons.)

I was over in England last month, and women of all ages there wore pantyhose/stockings a lot more commonly than what you see here in North America (and I’ve heard it’s the same case in Europe, with women there wearing hosiery more often). I’ve never liked the bare legged look for women, particularly with skirts and heels.

Sam Neill, Scott Glenn, Tim Curry, Sean Connery, James Earl Jones ... The Hunt for Red October" has the ultimate lineup.

Oh, I love that movie, and I agree.

Alec Baldwin never did anything for me, even before I knew he was a lunatic. He made that film before he blew up like a whale.

Alec Baldwin, meh. He wasn’t bad in the role, but I never found him appealing at all.

Wow. I knew things were getting bad but not this bad. That entire generation is completely indoctrinated in PC, social justice and environmentalism. We are so screwed.

Fashion is dead replaced 100% by comfort.

Look at a 50s movie set in Las Vegas. People dressed up to paint the town red. Look at people in Las Vegas today. Shorts, halters, pajamas, flip flops, with jeans and t-shirts everywhere. Nobody dresses up.

So no surprise most women wear pants all the time and when they don’t, they sure don’t wear panty hose. Not most of theme and not younger ladies.

It is about comfort and nothing else. Appearance has become irrelevant.

The only time you see people dressed nicely are weddings, funerals, clubs, or people who work in the financial districts and law offices.

I think one point that was made though as that the female character ended up taking off her clothes bit by bit, but that has been par for the course in Hollywood in decades. I remember some movie with Humphrey Bogart. He meets this librarian, stuck up and formal, until she unrolls her hair from her pony tale and loosens her dress. It was one of the sexiest moments in a movie from the 30s I've ever seen. Is it objectifying women or moving the story?
