I get that the Goodfellas, like the guys in Entourage, are doing wild things and having adventures, but I can't say I ever wanted to be any of them.
Sorry... Am female (real DNA, not transgendered) and watch it every time it is on tv, while my husband falls asleep about 90 minutes into it. Also, loved the redemptive grace of “Pulp Fictin” and HATED the denigration of “Get Shorty”.
Mrs Palace and I both grew up on Long Island. We knew these people from grade school. We both loved it.
DeNiro was flat our scary the way he played the part of “Jimmy” Conway.

The best part of the movie to me was when Tommy (Joe Pesci) gets his brains blown out. One of the all time evil characters in movie history, but I couldn’t wait for him to get his. Those guys were not heroes to me. Worthless scum.
I loved it. That and ‘The Shawshank Redemption’ (What a ‘feel good’ movie!) are among my very favorites.
Henry Hill, Jimmy the Gent,and Tommy are exactly the kind of psychopaths I would immediately remove from the vicinity of my family. Shoot, shovel, and shut up.
I’ve often noticed that there are no gangsters grabbing their balls in public out here in the country.
If I’m clicking through the Channels and it’s on, I always stop and watch it.
Same thing goes for The Godfather, The Outlaw Josie Wales and Patton.

My Grandfather had it custom built with Italian Marble back in the 50’s. It has room for Eighteen Bodies. Only my Great Grandparents are in there. Nobody else wants to be Buried there. It kind of creeps everyone out. LOL

Ray Liotta is a treasure. He was great in Blow, too. There’s just something world-weary yet sweet about him.
