Sad, recycled ideas.
There is no creativity in advertising anymore.
I thought it was pretty funny. The “Jake from State Farm” commercial is one of my favorites
Jane you ignorant. ....
funny back then. Now just tired and old.
You DO know that Primat gives good cone, right?
I misread it as Cokeheads. I’m going to the optometrist this morning. It’s been overdue...
I believe you’re referring to Michelle Burke. The last time I talked to her was in 2003 and she had a husband and 3 kids. Her career has fizzled. Too bad. I thought she was talented and very pretty.
"Oh, my. Your costumes are so frightening. Here. Accept these treats."
Have you seen the Nationwide Auto Insurance commercials that are being rerun now?
Starts out with a song “Baaybay, my sweet baybay.....” as the garage door opens up to show a bigger than life baby. All the while the insurance spiel is going on too.
It gets washed in the driveway, hits a fire hydrant and then the owner gets to go in an see it “repaired” in the shop....
It’s pretty cute.
Most appropriate.
You knew her? That’s cool.
Looking up her credits, the only other thing I saw her in was “Major League 2” where I believe she played Charlie Sheen’s girlfriend.
Burke was in “Dazed and Confused” as well (which was filmed about the same time as “The Coneheads.”) Parker Posey, who was her co-star in DaC, did a cameo in “Coneheads” as a friend of Connie’s.
Yea, saw that one on Youtube. My chances of seeing a TV commercial anywhere on TV are very remote since I don’t take cable or dish and turn the thing on only for specific sporting events on local broadcast channels.
