A number of news aggregator sites record (see article link) that Breitbart posted an article titled "Most GOP Champions Are Immigration Sellouts" a few days ago - and Google still has a cache of the article's second page - but all links to the article itself report 'page not found'.
What's up with that?
You should pull this thread if you are that far off.
John Ellis must have applied some pressure to Tucker Carlson.
Almost all of our political leaders are in favor of the continuing invasion/cheap labor importation/colonization of our country. We will not be allowed to elect a President who would actually enforce the laws against fraudulently documented foreigners.
We need an actual opposition party.
Is there a way of doing that other than pinging the Admin Mod as I've already done?
We need a President and a Congress that will reduce LEGAL IMMIGRATION, which is a far greater threat to this nation. We have brought in over 30 million LEGAL PERMANENT IMMIGRANTS since 1990 at a time when we have the lowest labor participation rates in 38 years and our wages have been stagnating or declining over the last four decades. Immigrants also use our welfare system to a far greater degree than the native born. We are importing poverty.
You are correct. I would reduce legal immigration as well, but the 30 million illegal aliens (at least) should be deported according to the law and we can’t even get them to do what the law says.
RE: “Most GOP Champions Are Immigration Sellouts”
OK, so who among the current crop is NOT a sellout?
The only ones I can think of are Tom Tancredo ( who is not running for President ) and Pat Buchanan ( whose time has passed ).
Not only is the government not enforcing our immigration laws, they are legalizing the illegals. Obama's 2012 executive action Dreamer amnesty has legalized 580,000 to date including providing the lawbreakers with work permits and SSNs. Another 5 million or more are planned under his latest executive action, which has been temporarily stalled by the courts. Obama should have been impeached for the 2012 amnesty, but neither party cares about the law. The Reps reaction at the time was that they agreed with the result, but they wanted to pass their own Dreamer amnesty. Cantor lost his job due to that gambit.
The political elites could care less about what the people want. As long as they keep getting reelected, nothing will happen and the country will continue to go down the drain. An uninformed, apathetic public is easily manipulated by the elites. You get the government you deserve. I blame the voters more than the political elites who care more about obeying their corporate paymasters than they do the national interests.
Walker and Santorum are the only candidates talking about reducing legal immigration.
According to the article cache: “In his twelve years in the Senate, Santorum showed no interest in immigration a point made by his 2006 Democratic opponent Bob Casey when Santorum tried to use illegal immigration as an election issue. (Republicans are fiercely opposed to immigration whenever they need our votes!) Santorum did vote against the 2006 Kennedy-McCain amnesty, but he also voted against sanctions on employers who hire illegals another point made by Casey, who ended up winning the election. In his 2012 presidential campaign, Santorum continued to oppose punishing employers who use illegal alien labor.”
We did our job in VA-7 and threw the weasel R-Eric Cantor out. I was hopeful more would follow. Disappointing that it didn’t happen, yet. I think more surprises are coming. Unless more people throw their weasels out, we will lose our country.
I didn’t believe the 11 million number when they first started using it 15 years ago. I’m thinking the low estimate is 30 million.
Presidents cannot change laws on their own. He should have been challenged the next day in court by the Congress or impeached. But for that we would need an opposition party and we don’t have one. There are individual GOP reps that are on the side of the citizens, but not most of them. I believe the GOP has sold its soul to The Cheap Labor Express and is corrupt beyond redemption. The sooner it is exposed as such and dies, the better chance we have.
I helped the Brat campaign with advice on the immigration issue and robocalls to 40,000 Rep voters in VA-7. I also personally contributed to Brat's campaign. About two years ago I had a one-on-one briefing with Cantor on immigration. He decided to go with the GOPe position rather than his constituents whom he had lost touch with. We need more candidates like Brat who can go after the GOPe on immigration, legal and illegal.

I have been working on this issue for seven years as part of a grassroots organization. I think it is closer to 20 million.

I agree. Jeff Sessions' article, Becoming the Party of Work. How the GOP can help struggling Americans, and itself. should be required reading for every GOP candidate.
