Lol!

Well, the verdict is in:

It is Venus!

So to be sure I just went outside with my binoculars during the day in Seattle to search for it.
It appeared almost immediately.
And I was actually able to see it IN DAYLIGHT without the binoculars!

The reason being almost near the solstice, the sun goes way, way north when it sets, and Venus which is on the ecliptic goes with it!
