no amount of emotional argument will matter. being an upstanding citizen, 20+ year military vet, or member of the PTA won’t matter.
if an ineligible candidate gets the nomination of their party, the opposing party has grounds to challenge their eligibility. if the GOP nominated such a person, the DNC candidate would immediately contest it with the SCOTUS.
and they would win... immediately disqualifying the GOP candidate... giving them the win on a walk.
try to divorce yourself from the emotional rhetoric and you can see how this would unfold.
that is why i say TCruz MUST get the SCOTUS to rule on his eligibility BEFORE the primary. if he avoids it... then he already knows what they would say.
There you go again.
Do you not think we tried to get them to do this to BO before the election?
It will not happen in a timely fashion again...the make-up of the court might agree with you, but I do not believe that would be best for a country so long after it was written. Force an amendment? Maybe.
I have not chosen a favorite candidate, but must agree that this is not an issue to be denied.
