From the article it appears the victim shot the perp (below) but did not kill him when he robbed the victim's store. THIS is why you shoot to kill.

But they are careful not to show pictures of the perps. As if we don’t know what Bloods look like.

Take aways:
(Granted some are assumptions)
1. Know your weapon, train with it frequently.
2. If you have to shot somebody, shot to kill.
3. Have quality ammo.
4. Buy a quality pistol.
5. Train with your weapon frequently.

A pharmacist in OK was thrown in prison for finishing the job on one of the protected class who tried to rob him.

FTEs are bad things. Turns the Semi Auto into a hammer.
Lately to ensure this does not happen, I went to a double barrel with two triggers shotgun for home defense before I go for the wheel gun.

They sure look like trouble-making people who go about daily causing problems for others. (/sarcasm)

No, London shot the mid-level leader, who apparently was part of a whole mob robbing the store.
Sounds like the actual killer was a hit man, who may or may not have been part of the robbers.

That is why a wheel gun or shotgun is much better for protection.
You can have the best semi auto gun on the market but if you do not hold it with a FIRM grip you will end up with what is called a stove pipe where the casing gets lodged into the action facing straight up.
I have had it happen and ever since I got a grip on my grip I have had no problems with any type of misfire or jam.

I am not a gun person, but I live in TX so I am compelled to own guns.
I know very little except for gun safety rules.
One of the basics that I DO know is that you should get your gun familiar with the ammo you plan to feed it the day the ghetto people come a’knocking.

May not have changed a thing, but I've always been taught "good equipment forgives a lot of sins."
