Beats stole the crown from Bose as the largest advertising company who happens to make speakers.

Apple superiority, yo. No system can start fires like Apple. Even the speakers.

Actually, Apple has not had fires that were related to their products. Some Sony batteries in various make laptops were recalled in the early 1990s, resulting in a recall of some of Apple's batteries. . . 32,000 of Apple's batteries were recalled due to overheating, but no fires were ever reported. Over 300,000 batteries were recalled due to over heating of the same Sony internal batteries from other make laptops in the same period for HP, Sony, IBM and the make laptops, but the headlines all featured the far smaller Apple recall.

A fire in an iPhone last year was traced to a 3rd party charger that did not have the correct Apple circuitry. . . which allowed a full 220 volts into the phone.

Even the failure rate on this recall is 0.00000034% of the number sold. That's an extremely low risk factor. Frankly, I am very surprised that Apple is doing a recall on such a low number of failures. There has to be something more to it. . . they must know that there will be a lot more in the future due to some severe problem with the manufacturer of the batteries.

Didn't he sell off the brand, laughing all the way to the bank

Just like when they pay him those insane amounts of money for that absolute garbage he does.

If those things are powered by lithium batteries, it’s a wonder they didn’t set someone’s house on fire.

It does sound great, though. Before buying I read tons of reviews, pros and customers, and compared it myself at BB to the main competitors.

Its main competition appears to be:

Bose SoundLink Bluetooth Speaker III

and

#11 doesn’t that bar in front of the speaker hinder the sound?

That is where the bass speaker is. Tweeter and mid-range on opposite side. So not really.
