The monster who raped me is coming before the board of parole again. Every 3 years. I ask that anyone who may have a reason to want him to stay behind bars, please consider writing the board (by email) expressing their thoughts about his release. He is a 5-time felon. The attack happened in Texas, the day before Thanksgiving, 1990. He broke several locks on my front door. When he was raping me, he made it clear to me that I would not be his last victim. He told me that if I helped prosecute him, he would kill me when he was released. He also assured me that he would never again leave a witness. He told me he would kill next time because he wouldn't allow himself to be put back in prison. I am blessed that I wasn't killed. I thank God every day for that blessing. He is a five-time felon. Each one of his crimes was progressively worse than the one before. His attack on me was brutal. During the attack, he took every opportunity to make me feel inferior. He justified his attack by claiming I deserved it because of the way I dressed. It's been almost 25 years since he attacked me, yet it feels like it was yesterday. I will always feel fear; I will always worry about my own children being attacked. I will always worry that he is around the corner waiting to kill me. I will always feel the need to watch over my shoulder. Please help me convince the board to not release him. Please help me convince them to make him serve his life sentence. Please help me keep them from releasing another sexual predator on the innocent. Before they caught him, he ran to Florida to escape. I believe no state is safe from this monster. Every 3 years I get to beg for them to understand why he shouldn't be released...he is a 5 time felon, the attack on me was his 5th felony conviction...how many did he do that he wasn't caught for? I am NEVER without my firearm...from the moment I put on my clothes in the morning until I lay down at night...and then it's beside me.

I have seen and have been the recipient of someone’s evil. Others came before me, when, snap!, I walked right into it. You don’t wish that on anyone-especially our children, who innocently find themselves in someone’s clutches. That is the risk of civility.
It is not even a Farrah Fawcett world anymore, let alone a Taylor Swift one. We cannot be both wise and good, but, rather, must pray that we are so good that wisdom comes naturally.
To unleash a risk on the public that knows nothing of it makes poor stewards of those who know and can control the risk itself-and preserve civility in the process.
Well I don’t think that after going through this horror she needs to end up in prison for life.

That being said ... will they even read what others send? In VA, when I was prosecuting, they would only take letters from those with some connection. Let us know if you know.
That being said, you have all my prayers on this. Rapists should never get parole.

They read and consider EVERY letter sent in to them! They encouraged me to get letters from anybody and everybody willing to write them about this case. Would you be willing to send a letter for me?

Since they have been building up DNA profiles for decades old rape kit tests (tests that cannot be brought to trial at this date, I'd think), perhaps running his DNA against those "unsolved crimes" would at least provide more fodder for designation as a "habitual unrepentant reoffender".
I sent one last time so, please send me the info. The thought that they could release this monster makes my skin crawl.
