This is such a stupid topic. The only reason “manspreading” is a thing at all is that people are so incredibly rude and inconsiderate these days.

Unless a person is enormous, he or she does not need to occupy more than one filthy, uncomfortable public transportation seat. Unless a man has elephantiasis, the space needs of his genitals do not require more than one seat.

When a conveyance is sparsely used, riders’ persons or stuff can occupy more than one seat. If it is full, then nobody should have to be asked to constrict his or her personal space usage to the minimum. It goes without saying that this is what decent people do.
