I believe they are growing rice out by Eagle Lake. My backyard in San Antonio is a swamp. Good thing the sun came out today.

Cucumbers are booming! One plant has taken over my entire 4x4 and it is the only thing producing for me. Tomatoes are same as 3 weeks ago (assuming the rain wasn’t good for them) Beautiful pepper plants with no pepper on them. 2 zucchini and that’s about it.

Giving the 4x4 without the cukes till mid june then turning it over and starting again. Got to call Millbergers and see if they can do a soil sample for me.

Have a great weekend.

Sounds like a plan! I’ve got some tomato blooms and a few green babies, but I really need some of the taller ones into 5 gallon buckets.

I probably should pull some of those volunteer tomatoes in the potato bed, but I hate to do it. Maybe I’ll just let it go and see who wins out.

Here in the also wet DFW area—what a monsoon dump of rain last night. My cukes are going bat shiite leaves and blooms however lack of bees so far so no fruits yet.
Let’s see what happens next month. Maybe I have to Q tip manually pollinate them.

My cucumbers were growing like crazy loaded with blossoms but no cucumbers. A couple of days ago I noticed some had finally started. Yea! Zucchini are going like gang busters even with all this rain. A few did turn to mush but I have already picked about a dozen. I lug my tomato plants and corn into the house when it rains. One night I didn’t bring the corn in and the wind tore it apart. At least next week the rain is supposed to stop in northern Texas.
