Patterson’s the rare author who donates to the GOP:

James Patterson - The world’s top-selling writer, according to CNN, the thriller novelist is a major conservative donor. Patterson has given $19,000 to a half dozen Republican politicians, including Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, as well as $30,800 to the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

My wife liked him. I tried two of the Alex Cross novels, finished the first but couldn’t get through the second. Not a fan.

I read this......
It’s has an unusual premise .....could be a scary, summer type thriller/ miniseries.

I will probably tune in initially.......
....it’s an unusual storyline......maybe worth watching.

Wasn't this already done in the 1970s in a movie called "Day of The Animals."

Zoo is the only Patterson book I’ve read.....interesting idea for a story, but I thought it was rather boring. Not at all a memorable read.

The only part that stood out for me was the guy going back to his African hunting lodge and finding everyone else gone, with only a bunch of bloody rags strewn around. He heard a sound, turned around, and the tall grass was filled with lions, looking right at him.

Other than that, bupkis.

okay, call me a a wuss if ya want to, but I just see this as giving people who hate animals a reason to kill.

Before you call me an animal activist, nope. I hunt, fish, but hurt my dog, and I’ll unleash a version of hell nobody has seen since Nam.

Does he write any of his books anymore? It seems like every one of his recent books has a co-author that was probably the real author.

My suspicion is that his recent books are as much his own as the paintings of Thomas Kincaid were his.
