For some eating bacon is a religious experience. But in Las Vegas, theres a group dedicated to the worship of the cured pork.
Founded in 2010, the United Church of Bacon now claims nearly 10,000 members worldwide and is based on beliefs that include its followers must love the smell of bacon.
"...we say bacon is real therefore its our god."
Bacon is a way to bring people together, even if you are religious, theres no discrimination. You can have a god before bacon, said church founder and ex-Marine John Whiteside. I like pigs in a blanket, thats great, I like donuts and bacon, any type of bacon is great.

I like it!
A whole nother kind of “fragrance” in those prayers.
So didn’t the ancient Greeks sacrifice pigs to their god Jupiter or something?
He was featured in Guardians of the Galaxy.
“Really? Well, on my planet, theres a legend about people like you. Its called Footloose. And in it, a great hero, named Kevin Bacon, teaches an entire city full of people with sticks up their butts that dancing, well, its the greatest thing there is.”
I guess they aren’t atheists anymore. Sounds more like paganism.

Jupiter - Roman
Zeus - Greek
Did they both take pig sacrifices?
Zeus did. For Jupiter it was ox, goat, or ram - all castrated. Also lamb or ewe. It depended on the occasion.
In further checking, I see that different kinds of animals were sacrificed to Zeus, many times as burnt offerings.
Dang that is not nice. Why can’t they have 1 show with guns and Bacons together in 1 room?
It seems to me that a pig was offered to zeus on the Temple alter and desecrated the Alter.
You’re probably right. The older I get, the more confused I get. :)
