I had to look to see if she was in it. She was. I remember when Borgnine married her, and wondered if he needed his head examined. It only lasted about a month.

Ethel Merman was in a number of movies, but her main fame was as the queen of the Broadway musical. I can always tell it’s her on a recording- the only human being who ever lived who’s voice sounded like a trumpet!
