Kind of surprising for the Protestant Elvis to be singing a Catholic hymn devoted to Mary.
Well, not too surprising. After all, he did wear a “Star of David” necklace along with his crucifix and “TCB” medallion. I believe when people asked him about it, he said he didn’t want to die and find out he missed out on heaven on a “technicality” :)
Now that’s a goodie. My grandad has a couple of his hymn albums ...
