During jury duty I met a beast of a guy, maybe 270 and not fat. He had in Irish last name but was American. I asked him if he was an NFL lineman. He said he wished He played in college and tried for some pros.
He said the difference is insane. The brute strength in the NFL is like nothing he's ever seen, and dwarfs college play.
That is a scary thought.

I think the athletic abilities for everyone on the field is taken for granted. By in large, pro sports, especially the NFL is merit based. Everyone who makes a roster is impressive.

I still remember a pick-up basketball game that I played with the starting lineup of ESU. Yep, THEY WERE HUGE, and this was college, and this was decades ago. I can only imagine what it’s like today.
